The decline of honeybees seen in many countries may be due to reduced plant diversity , research suggests, well therefore surel it is up to each one of us to preserve in what ever form all the plant life around us, and not to cut slash and burn and build and concrete over to make drives and patios etc and all the dull things that human beings see as essentials, leave the nettles and brambles and clumps of weed etc and leave the daffodils and dont cut down woods and leave undergrowth leave trees to rot and give back to the soil and the proper plant rotation will happen. i have noticed a dramatic decrease in brtterflies, never see a multitude on at ree, bush shrub plant etc like i used to they love the holly hocks and buddleia

We certainly need to keep the bees happy. Remember that Einstein quote; "if bees become extinct then mankind will perish within four years". An alarming statement indeed.
