WELL I HAD TO PICK THIS - however i must admit to never ever having heard of this . I had a wonderful grand oither who was a lady a real lady in all senses, she was impeccably dressed when she went out, she had great taste in clothes- and jewellery she always had smartly tailored over coats with scarves, bags shies and gloves to match - and had monpgrammed hand bags - always of leather, She was always colour co-ordinated. She couldnt tolerate bad manners and would tell pepele off for bad manners in her own way - everywhere. She had 8 chikdren and looked after them well - i dont know how she managed washing in a tin tub that you heated hot water poured in it, a wringer, starch, and cubes of blue for the rinse, and pegging out and then ironing when dry,SHE HAD EMBOSSED WHITE SHEETS THE LIKE OF WHICH I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYWHERE - THEY WERE INCREIUBLE- HUGE FRUITS - so thankyou grand ma = you have given me so much to remember that is good.
